Now, 34, Colombia’s all-time greatest goal-scorer might not be at the peak of his powers but he represents the Super Lig side’s most potent threat in front of goal.
The striker is the Europa League’s all-time top goal-scorer with 30 goals in the competition and there are little doubts Rangers will have one eye on the striker tonight.
The Ibrox side also have the South American’s potential heir to the Colombia throne in Alfredo Morelos with the spotlight set to be on both players in this tie.
Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos can match Ibrox legend Ally McCoist’s European goalscoring record (21) for the club with a goal tonight.
However, the Scottish Sun are claiming that the two Colombian forwards won’t line up from the off this evening.
The Scottish paper is claiming that Falcao is set to start the match on the bench with manager Fatih Terim focusing on their domestic prospects.
This is despite Terim claiming that he would play his strongest side in what promises to be an enthralling contest with the Ibrox club [Herald].
