As Rangers returned to pre-season training there was some confusion regarding the absence of Leeds United-linked Ryan Kent.
The tricky winger, 24, is the Ibrox club’s talisman and undoubtedly one of if not the brightest talent in Glasgow’s southside.

But whilst the player’s injury status has been given as the reason why he’s been posting missing from the club’s pre-season snaps, it doesn’t mean Rangers fans should stop worrying about Leeds United.
That’s according to the Athletic and Jordan Campbell at least, who insist Marcelo Bielsa’s long-term admiration of Kenty hasn’t gone anywhere ahead of next season.
This also comes – according to the Athletic – amid a £14m funding gap which must be plugged to keep the Gers financially healthy after £40m of investments over the last three seasons.
Kent isn’t the only of the Rangers assets who’ve been linked to the Ibrox exit door with Alfredo Morelos and Glen Kamara the other two stars extensively linked elsewhere.
But the ex-Liverpool winger is perhaps the most irreplaceable of the bunch and the Gers will surely think twice before parting with the Ibrox winger.
Leeds United also have previous for trying to sign the winger having bid a reported £10m last season before Alan Nixon and the Scottish Sun claimed they’re lining up a £15m return this summer.
It’s an uncomfortable notion for Gers fans who’re well aware that the club must sell in order to obtain financial security in the seasons to come.

But with Champions League qualification on the horizon, Ibrox supporters will be hoping they can keep Kent around and mount a serious charge to the megabucks of the tournament’s group stages.
Jordan Campbell has also been speaking about the situation involving one Rangers youngster who was released by the club this summer despite signing a new deal only months ago.
