A leading agent has been attempting to tout Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos to Napoli, according to comments made to a leading Neapolitan blog.
Miki Bouraoui is said to have made the comments to Calcio Napoli 24, where he namechecked Morelos alongside Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen and Uruguayan prospect Facundo Pellistri.
The comments come with continuing speculation over the striker’s future and after the Colombian wasn’t involved in the marketing campaign surrounding the launch of Rangers’ new home kit.

“The possible arrival of the Nigerian [Osimhen] excludes the engagement of another attacker, I’m talking about Alfredo Morelos,” said Bouraoui [CN24].
“Last year he was the top scorer in Scotland and this year he scored a lot with Glasgow Rangers.
“I had proposed to Giuntoli [Napoli sporting director] that he had given me his approval, he is a very valuable player on whom they are different clubs, especially in the Premier League, but his preference is to move to Italy.
“Bologna is also on him.”
These comments suggest that there is interest in Morelos from Napoli, considering the conversations have been had with the Serie A club’s sporting director.
It’s also interesting to note that Bouraoui directly credits Bologna with interest, whilst reports have routinely discussed the likes of Newcastle United and Leicester City as possible destinations in the Premier League.
Napoli are currently managed by former Ibrox midfielder Gennaro Gattuso, who recently tasted success with the Italian club by winning the Coppa Italia.
The Gli Azzurri defeated Juventus on penalties following a 0-0 draw after the football season was restarted in Italy in June.

Alfredo Morelos scored 29 goals in all competitions for Rangers last season but despite a stunning first half of the campaign disciplinary issues and injury disrupted the second half of his season.
Morelos was punished by manager Steven Gerrard for returning back to Scotland late from Colombia in February ahead of a crunch Scottish Cup tie against Hearts, which the Ibrox eventually lost.
