It hasn’t taken long for Oscar Cortes to catch the Rangers bug going by the Colombian’s latest post on Instagram.
Rangers fans have already taken to the 20-year-old who is currently on loan from RC Lens with an as-of-yet undisclosed option-to-buy on his head.
Having spent a difficult six months in France following a €4.5m (£3.8m) move to the Ligue 1 side, the ex-FC Millonarios attacker is finding his feet and form in a change of system at Ibrox.
Now, Oscar Cortes has added to the burgeoning excitement around his switch to Rangers as his latest Instagram post points to an early Ibrox love affair.
Oscar Cortes shares Rangers love affair on Instagram
Taking to Instagram, Oscar Cortes shared an image of a blue and white love heart, a sword, and a shield in homage to the Rangers fans.
It’s the latest indication that the young Colombian is enjoying himself at Rangers after an impressive start to his Ibrox career.
Named as Player of the Match in the Scottish Cup win over Ayr United, Cortes has shown Rangers fans flashes of his ability already with manager Philippe Clement reiterating that the best is yet to come from the kid.
Rangers defender John Souttar has at the same time urged fans to retain a level of realism around the player, pointing to how long it took Ridvan Yilmaz to settle in Glasgow.
Could Clement rue Europa League decision?
Interestingly, with Philippe Clement only being allowed three changes to Rangers’ Europa League squad, Oscar Cortes was the only new signing who missed out.
The Rangers manager has brought Ridvan Yilmaz back into the squad alongside January signings Mohamed Diomande and Fabio Silva.

But if the winger continues to impress and grow at Rangers, perhaps the Belgian will regret not including the youngster on the final list.
In evidence of something of an imbalanced squad, Rangers pair Leon Balogun and Kieran Dowell (who is currently injured) also won’t be involved in the European set-up.
