Rangers fans will be wishing the athletic midfielder all the best as he deals with his loss. I’m sure the club will do everything they can to support the Malian during this difficult period and when he returns.
Coulibaly is the latest in a handful of strong first teamers who won’t be available on Sunday. Although it does look like time that the “destroyer” had a few games out of the team.
He really has struggled to recapture his form at the start of the season since and injury against St. Mirren.
Perhaps this period at home and little bit of time off will help to get the big man back to his best.
Absentees mounting for Rangers
Lassana Coulibaly isn’t the only one who’ll miss out on Sunday. Rangers have a mounting list of absentees for the match with Motherwell.
Daniel Candeias remains suspended, despite Rangers best efforts to ensure otherwise.
Ryan Kent also has a hamstring problem. With both out, it’s a big chance for Eros Grezda to step up.
Borna Barisic remains injured. Rangers have toiled at left back and despite only playing a handful of games, the club and squad need the Croatian back.
Kyle Lafferty has a thigh injury which will be assessed prior to kick-off with Graham Dorrans and Jamie Murphy both having long-term knee injuries.
