Kris Boyd is never one to mince his words and the Rangers legend has given Aberdeen both barrels following the club’s Scottish Premiership defeat at Ibrox.
Rangers romped to a 3-0 victory over the Dons courtesy of goals from Hamza Igamane, Leon Balogun and Cyriel Dessers at Ibrox.
But it was 3-0 going on 6-0 with Rangers on fine form and Aberdeen unable to cope with the Ibrox side’s invention and intensity.
Kris Boyd is never shy sticking the boot into Aberdeen and done so again come the final whistle, raising major questions about Jimmy Thelin’s position at Pittodrie.

Aberdeen were ‘embarrassing’ v Rangers
Rangers fans would’ve been impressed with their team’s performance in 3-0 victory over Aberdeen but the Dons support might’ve been watching the game through their fingers.
Jimmy Thelin’s side are now 12 games without a win after a blistering start to the season and Kris Boyd has labelled their performance at Ibrox ‘embarrassing’.
The former Rangers striker also suggested that Barry Robson was sacked for less at Aberdeen as the Dons sign a raft of new players this January.
”You go back to the start of the season with Aberdeen,” Boyd told Sky Sports.
”They got a lot plaudits and rightly so.
”You look at Barry Robson, lost his job, he won four out of 14. This is no wins in 12 now for Jimmy Thelin.
”And because you started the season really well and there might be an acceptance from the Aberdeen fans to clap their team off.
“That was embarrassing here tonight, embarrassing.
”You come down here, it’s a big game, you come down, you want to fly into tackles, Aberdeen were so passive.”
Kris Boyd turns screw on Aberdeen
Rangers dominated Aberdeen in almost every area of the park and Kris Boyd claims a lack of ‘intensity’ is hurting the Pittodrie club.
Suggesting that this has been a recent feature of the Dons’ play, Boyd claims there is ‘something not right at Aberdeen’ as he turns the screw on the northeast side.
”I’m not just saying that tonight, it was the exact same on Sunday as well against Hearts,” said Boyd.
”There’s a lack of intensity in this Aberdeen team.
”That was one thing at the start of the season, teams struggled to deal with them because of the intensity.
”They were up in second balls, they didn’t allow teams to settle.
”I don’t know what’s going on but there’s something not right at Aberdeen right now.
”You can say about confidence, I get that, confidence doesn’t stop you running about.”
Rangers are now 12 points ahead of Aberdeen in 2nd, with 3rd place Dundee United two points ahead of the 4th place Dons in the Scottish Premiership table.
