Kris Boyd finds Alfredo Morelos’ situation at Rangers ‘disappointing’ with the forward likely to leave Ibrox with his ‘tail between his legs’.
Rangers are set to see Morelos leave Ibrox for free at the end of the season with his contract worth £33k-a-week expiring on May 31.
Ibrox chiefs last extended the 26-year-old’s terms in March 2019 as reward for his goals after joining in July 2017. But his goals have now dried up.

Morelos has only scored twice through his last nine Premiership appearances after netting a brace at home to St Mirren.
The double moved the Colombian onto 11 goals through now 30 top-flight appearances this season. He scored 11 times through 26 games last term.
Morelos is leaving Rangers legend Boyd feeling disappointed
Boyd finds Morelos’ form ‘disappointing’ with the forward a far cry from the striker Rangers have seen in the past.
The Gers legend even now doubts Morelos will end this season on a high to bid farewell to Rangers and their supporters in a fitting fashion.
“It’s disappointing and sad to see someone who has had such a massive impact at a huge club going out with such a whimper,” Boyd wrote in his column for The Scottish Sun.

“As it stands he will leave Ibrox with his tail between his legs – and that’s all on him. But he could repair some of the damage by scoring the winner tomorrow.
“That’s probably the best pay-off he could give the Rangers support. Though given he has been non-existent for the majority of the campaign, I don’t see it.”
Morelos is seemingly sleepwalking his way out of Ibrox
Morelos scored a quick-fire brace as Rangers beat St Mirren despite producing an otherwise quiet performance beforehand.
He showed great awareness and a lethal touch to score two goals in as many minutes to put the Gers back ahead.

But while Michael Beale would have revelled in his brace, Morelos failed to build on his goals when Rangers faced Aberdeen.
The striker had a chance to break the deadlock after 12 minutes at Pittodrie. Yet he failed to find the net and failed to produce many more chances after that.
Had Aberdeen not cleared Morelos’ shot off the line, his confidence may have peaked to the relief of Beale and Rangers.
But, instead, Morelos is disappointing Boyd as he seemingly sleepwalks his way out of Ibrox and Rangers come the summer.
