Kris Boyd is never shy to offer his opinion on Rangers.
Good, bad or indifferent, the former Ibrox striker always has something to say.
With Philippe Clement’s side taking on Kilmarnock this weekend, Boyd knows his old club must begin to find their rhythm in a bid to keep on rival Celtic’s tails at the top of the Scottish Premiership.
Already a five point gap has been opened up by the league leaders alongside Aberdeen and Boyd feels it has not been good enough.

Dropping points away to struggling Hearts on the opening day of the campaign at Tynecastle was also a bitter disappointment with hindsight.
Still, despite the pressure cooker of working at Rangers, manager Clement seems to have settled his squad in recent months with the transfer window in particular bringing in some new talent.
That, for Boyd, has allowed the Light Blues to find their ‘groove’ and must be carried on for the rest of the season to ensure a positive, successful term.
Kris Boyd feels Rangers have begun to ‘find their groove’
Asked on Sky Sports News about the mood around the camp and the club’s fanbase in general so far, Boyd offered an honest take.
The retired striker suggested dropping points on any given weekend can develop into a ‘crisis’ but he feels Rangers, despite their stuttering start, can improve.
Starting with their trip to Rugby Park tomorrow.
Boyd said: “I always think, you know Rangers and Celtic, that the pressure managers put on football clubs to win games of football. It’s a must-win every week, or there’s a crisis. That’s just the nature of the beast for the two of them.
Kilmarnock vs Rangers takes place tomorrow afternoon at Rugby Park
“The start that Rangers got, obviously drawing at Tynecastle. Watching at the time, you would’ve looked at it and thought it was maybe not the worst place to pick up a point.
“You look back now, and you think it’s two points dropped. Then you go to Celtic Park, and you’re battered 3-0.
“But you know there have been signs recently that Rangers have been starting to get in the groove.”
