Rangers have been handed a major boost by the presence of Ianis Hagi in light training amid a draining sea of negativity at Ibrox.

Injuries have contributed to a stuttering Ibrox season to date with Rangers failing to impress domestically and falling further behind in the title race courtesy of a 1-1 draw with Livingston at Ibrox.

Performances have not been good enough all season long and now results are beginning to follow as an injury-plagued squad fail to muster up the required commitment and quality to keep touch in Scotland and Europe.

But one of the Rangers boss’ favourites in Ianis Hagi has been sorely missed over the course of this entire calendar year after suffering a cruciate ligament injury in the 4-0 Scottish Cup win over Stirling Albion last year.

Ianis Hagi shares positive Rangers injury update

Working his way back from the devastating injury, the influential Ibrox playmaker is set to return to action for the club in the next few months and was snapped back in training this week.

Seeing Ianis Hagi back on the pitch at the Rangers Training Centre will be a welcome boost to supporters and a rare flicker of positivity amid a sea of negative groans, moans and complaints in the Ibrox faithful.

The talented midfielder uploaded a series of snaps to his official Instagram story in a major boost to the Ibrox side.

The pictures come after Ianis Hagi had railed against rumours regarding his injury and claiming he is edging closer to a return for Rangers in 2023.

“I’m fine, I’ve seen a lot of talk in these almost 9 months,” Ianis Hagi told Gazeta Sporturilor.

“Many gave their opinion where it was not known. My injury was very clear from the first episode of the documentary I posted.

“It is an injury with a recovery period of 9-12 months. There was no problem coming back earlier. There was a lot of talk, but there was no point.

“I’m fine, it’s not been 9 months since the operation. I’m on the right track. It’s a long-term operation, there are also moments when you stagnate, it’s part of the recovery. You have to accept it.

“It’s more of a mental injury than a physical one, but I’m very good mentally, happy. I feel strong. It won’t be long before I recover. Everything is fine, stop listening left and right.”

Whilst Rangers have had a positive injury update around Ianis Hagi, here’s what the under-fire Ibrox boss said about two players who had to come off against Livingston.
