Kenny Miller has lauded Gers skipper James Tavernier, as quoted by the Glasgow Evening Times.
Miller played alongside Tav for several seasons at Ibrox. While the former has had a tumultuous year or so since leaving the club, the latter has taken his game to another level under Steven Gerrard.

Tav was a near ever-present last season, bringing a major attacking threat down the right side.
“Physically, he’s an animal”, said Miller, as quoted by the Glasgow Evening Times. “His body is in great shape, he’s fast, strong, aggressive and he can dribble.”
“Clubs are now looking at him because he has all the hallmarks of a top full-back. He’s huge for Rangers and they won’t want to lose him. I don’t think they’ll let him go on the cheap.
“They got him for £200,000 and could end up getting £10 million for him so he’s been a really good investment. Everyone has a price, that goes for the likes of Tav or Morelos. Any money they bring in could be invested again in the team.
“Tav will have a price but the manager, his team-mates and the fans would be very disappointed to lose him. I don’t think you get another Tav for £200,000 in this day and age. He’s grown into the club and he really cherishes it now. Even for him, it would take something special for him to leave.”

Verdict
It’s hard to refute much of what Miller has said here.
Tav has blossomed into a really fine player who has improved his defending and offers a major attcking threat. Much of Rangers’ play comes through him down the right.
He had a remarkable 2018/19 campaign, scoring 14 goals and notching 14 assists in the league. That’s a tally that far surpasses any other player’s in terms of direct goal contributions.
Should he leave the club this summer, he would prove extremely difficult to replace. He’s a key cog in the bid to win title no.55, so it will surely take a massive bid from a major club in order to prise him from Ibrox.
