Rangers will not be signing Kemar Roofe this summer.
Last month, the Express reported that the club was lining up the 26-year-old forward as a potential replacement for Alfredo Morelos.

However, given that Morelos is currently still at Ibrox, it’s unclear whether or not the Gers actually made contact.
Kemar Roofe joins Anderlecht
Either way, Roofe has opted for an interesting switch to a big European club. He’s signed for 34-time Belgian domestic champions, Anderlecht. It’s a three-year deal and he will serve under former Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany’s new regime in Brussels.
While the fee remains officially undisclosed, it’s reported to be in the region of £7 million [Leeds Live].
It’s easy to see why the Gers could have been interested in the now ex-Leeds United man.
Despite not always being a regular starter, he netted fifteen times in the Championship last season, including injury-time winners in consecutive matches over the festive period.

He brings versatility, too, with an ability to play up top, or in more withdrawn roles.
Yet, it’s now apparent that if El Bufalo does leave the club this month, Mark Allen and co. will need to identify an alternative replacement.
Alongside Jermain Defoe, Morelos is one of only two senior forwards currently at the club. However, the recent performances of two young talents suggest the future is bright in attacking areas.
