Kelty Hearts have slammed a ‘disrespectful and negligent’ Neil Doncaster as more clubs follow Rangers’ lead in speaking out against the words and actions of the SPFL chief executive.
The Scottish Lowland League champions released a statement via Twitter on Monday afternoon in an effort to correct ‘misinformation’ spouted by Doncaster.

Kelty say Doncaster made a factual error when referring to the Lowland League system and that he was wrong to suggest that all play-offs in Scotland have been cancelled due to the global health crisis.
They contest that the cancellations are specific to the SPFL, suggesting that a ‘four-way agreement’ has led to the cancellation of the ‘pyramid playoff’, denying them a chance to be promoted to League Two.
They conclude the statement with direct criticism of Doncaster: “It’s little wonder we feel like many others that there’s a complete disregard to the pyramid and its structure, for someone who is on both the SPFL and SFA board to help drive the game forward, we find it somewhat disrespectful and negligent.”
Kelty are the latest Scottish club to speak out against Doncaster, who has been at the centre of a shambolic month for Scottish football.
The Gers allege that he and several other high-ranking SPFL figures were guilty of wrongdoing during the ballot to end the lower-league seasons, while Inverness Caledonian Thistle yesterday suggested he had failed to report allegations of bullying [ictfc.co.uk].
As a Lowland League club, Kelty will have no say on whether or not Rangers’ resolution calling for an independent investigation into the governing body is passed, but Partick Thistle have already expressed their intention to vote ‘yes’ as the motion and general anti-Doncaster sentiment looks to be gathering momentum.
