As quoted by BBC Sport, Jurgen Klopp has delivered a major blow to Rangers’ hopes of bringing Ryan Kent back to the club.
Speaking following a 3-0 defeat to Napoli at Murrayfield, the Liverpool manager finally brought some clarity to a saga that has rumbled on for months.
“His time is over for loans,” said Klopp. “At the age he is now, he needs to find a place where he can settle. We will see what happens but a loan is not planned.”
He went on to note that he felt the 22-year-old is a ‘completely different player’ after his Ibrox stint. However, it seems that unless the Gers stump up near-unprecedented cash late in the window, Kent won’t be returning to Glasgow.
