Steven Gerrard’s arrival at Rangers would’ve had turned many heads at Ibrox. Not least in the playing staff. But one player might’ve been happier to see his old teammate more than the rest. Jordan Rossiter.
The combative, talented midfielder has had no luck at Ibrox. Everytime it’s looked like he’s about to get going at the club, he’s been pegged back.
Calf injuries upon calf injuries have limited Rossiter to only 14 appearances in three seasons. It’s a real shame for a signing many touted as a major coup for the Ibrox club.

But now, with the man who he was once thought capable of emulating at Anfield guiding him, the time may well have come for Rossiter to repay the faith of the Rangers support.
Best yet to come from Jordan Rossiter
Recently, the mature young man spoke of his need to repay Gerrard, the club and the fans.
Rossiter really comes across as determined to show what he can do at Ibrox.
He’s shown flashes of his ability but the best is surely yet to come from the Liverpool academy graduate.
A former England youth captain, his battling, box-to-box style earned him similarities to Gerrard. Up until now, he’s never really had the chance to show it.

With a massive December to come, the youngster is bound to get that chance. But with only 18 months left on his deal, he simply has to grab it.
There’s no doubt he sees his future at Ibrox and he has done superbly well to battle back from long-term injuries. But it’s time to really take that leap into the senior game and consistently prove that he can be a top player.
And there’s also no one better at the helm of Rangers to help him do it.
