Jermain Defoe had such an enjoyable time at Rangers that the former Ibrox striker wishes he moved to the club sooner.

The legendary former England international joined Rangers late on in a footballing career defined by goals, goals and more goals south of the border.

Having turned out for West Ham, Spurs, Portsmouth and Sunderland, Jermain Defoe will go down as one of the most legendary Premier League goal scorers of his era.

But it’s at Rangers where the striker picked up the only league title of his career in a memorable three-year stint at Ibrox between 2019 and 2022.

Ibrox fans haven’t forgotten Jermain either and now the retired 41-year-old striker is set to return to Scotland as part of the Scottish Masters series.
