Jack Butland has broken his silence on missing Rangers vs Celtic tomorrow.
The Ibrox goalkeeper will be in the stands for the derby after it emerged that Butland was taken to hospital with “internal bleeding” on Hogmanay.
Butland has been criticised in recent weeks for some poor decisions and ugly goals being scored against him.
However he is still a major player for the club and a big presence on the pitch in these powderkeg fixtures.

James Tavernier is already ruled out against Celtic which adds to Philippe Clement‘s issues.
Liam Kelly will add to his dream debut against Dundee as he deputises for the missing Butland and now the Englishman has spoken out on the issue.
Butland explained how he will be gutted to miss a big game at a monumental time for the club considering dropped points to Motherwell and St Mirren.
But he vowed to get back fit and ready this season when he can in a bid to push Gers in the right direction.
Jack Butland put the story straight on his ‘leg bleeding’
Taking to social media the former Birmingham City stopper said: “I really appreciate the messages, but it’s important the information is correct.
“I’ve suffered a significant bleed to my leg that needed that needed hospital attention, thankfully it’s now under control and will lead to a full recovery hopefully sooner rather than later.
“Needless to say it’s come at an awful time and I was fully focused on helped us as a club.
“The most important thing now is supporting the lads and focusing on getting fit as soon as possible.
“Let’s stick together and push on @rangersfc.”
What Rangers said in their statement about Butland’s injury
Rangers also confirmed the news in a statement following The Rangers Review‘s report earlier this evening.
And they wished their player best of luck in his comeback.
“Rangers can confirm goalkeeper Jack Butland will miss tomorrow’s Old Firm match with Celtic,” their statement read.
“The goalkeeper suffered an internal bleed in his leg which required hospital treatment, but he has since been released and is recovering.
“Everyone at Rangers wishes Jack a speedy recovery.”
