Aberdeen star Scott Wright started the Dons 0-0 draw with St. Johnstone despite a fan backlash over his pre-contract move to rivals Rangers.
Dons attacker Wright was the subject of an offensive banner hung out by a section of the Aberdeen support after the 23-year-old agreed to a deal to move to the Gers at the end of the season.

Despite signing the deal at Ibrox, Derek McInnes has been clear that Wright will continue to play for the Dons unless Rangers make them a good enough offer to take Wright to Ibrox in January.
The forward played 84 minutes of the goalless encounter in Perth before eventually being subbed for Connor McLennan in the closing stages.
Derek McInnes even praised Wright’s “fully committed” involvement in the match at the final whistle [Evening Express].
With football being behind closed doors due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Wright might’ve earned a reprieve from a slaughtering from the terraces.
But given the ill-feeling towards Rangers amongst the Aberdeen support the winger-turned forward certainly didn’t escape criticism on the internet.
Aberdeen fans aplenty took to Twitter to rage about Wright’s involvement in comments which will only seek to encourage Rangers fans when he actually moves to the club.
Some also had some choice words to say about Rob McLean’s coverage of the match with the commentator at one point claiming the tricky winger was trying like “a bear”:

It just gets better and better for Rangers as they romp towards a legendary 55th title and seemingly upset every supporter of a rival club in Scotland.
Hibs fans were left fuming at Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos after they felt he escaped a red card before scoring the winner at Easter Road this week.
