Int’l returns, striker out – 2 changes in predicted Rangers XI v Hamilton

Rangers are hoping to make it six clean sheets out of six this weekend against Hamilton but they will not be hoping to draw a blank in front of goal for the second away game on the bounce.

The Gers toiled on their travels the last time they left Glasgow in the Scottish Premiership but will be hoping Hamilton’s plastic surface isn’t a stickler this time around.

Following dropped points at Livingston Steven Gerrard’s side must keep the pressure on rivals Celtic by beating Hamilton and going nine points clear before they play Motherwell.

A 5:30pm Saturday kick-off is a good one for the fans but hopefully the nerves are settled early on as Rangers look to keep up their momentum in the league.

Similarly with the tie against Kilmarnock, Steven Gerrard’s side has had ample time to prepare for this one with a week in full training a huge boost to bedding in the club’s new players.

With the conversation continuing around Alfredo Morelos, it remains very unlikely we’ll see the Colombian involved this weekend.

Not least because some journalists back home in Colombia are claiming that the striker could be a Lille player by then.

With Kemar Roofe scoring his first goal for the Ibrox club in the 2-0 win over Livingston and Cedric Itten chomping at the bit, you expect both will be giving a chance in Lanarkshire.

Brandon Barker also impressed against Kilmarnock but with Joe Aribo close to full fitness you imagine he’ll be given the nod if he passes an injury test.

Glen Kamara may also be recalled on Hamilton’s plastic pitch with Steven Davis given the chance to rest his legs.

Here’s how we think the Gers might line up as Steven Gerrard faces off against Brian Rice at New Douglas Park:
