In-form Rangers star Alfredo Morelos has shared an Instagram story that features a birthday message to international teammate Radamel Falcao, in which his relationship has obviously worked wonders with the Gers ace, who has gotten back to his best recently.

Morelos and Falcao have been international teammates since the 25-year-old broke into the national team in 2018 and what better striker to learn the trade from than the former Monaco and Atletico Madrid frontman.

Their relationship is obviously close hence the Instagram story and Morelos has maybe been working diligently with the Colombian record scorer during international breaks in order to pick up any pieces of advice to become one of the best in the world.

He did have a lot of time to kill during his recent call-up as he wasn’t included in either of the two matchday squads and this was possibly an ideal chance to work with his 36-year-old teammate.

Alfie has had his fair share of talented strikers to work under and alongside in the last few years, with Jermain Defoe proving to be a great figure for him to learn under, as well as current Gers coach Roy Makaay.

There were questions asked earlier in the season if Morelos was underperforming and struggling to adapt to Gerrard’s more deeper-lying position, one in which he did well, but it naturally hampered his goalscoring abilities.

Ever since Gio and his coaching staff have come in, he has been a man reborn, scoring nine goals already and surely aiming for much more before the end of the season.

Hopefully, Gio can keep the striker happy, and his success will go a long way to bringing the Ibrox side glory this season, that’s for sure.

Meanwhile, a former Rangers player has spoken out about his time at the club, claiming an ex-manager was the catalyst for him seeking pastures new.
