It has been an extremely encouraging season so far for Rangers.
Steven Gerrard has finally brought a buzz back to Ibrox. There’s renewed pride in the jersey and a a marked improvement in results, both domestically and in Europe.
However, nothing has been won yet.
Ultimately, success is judged on silverware. At the minute, although the Gers are in a good spot in the league, they are a long way away from winning it.
In the illustrious history of the football club, 54 top flight Scottish titles have been won.
This week, a photograph emerged on Twitter of one of those title winning squads.
It’s a little different to the current set up, though.

7th January, marked the 120th anniversary of the league win from 1898/99.
Rangers won all 18 league matches that season, averaging over four goals per game.
The campaign featured a 10-0 win over Hibernian and a 7-0 victory over Dundee, to seal the title.
Club captain, Robert Cumming Hamilton, finished top of the scoring charts with 21 goals.
The grass is long, the ball is leather and there are a few more waistcoats and hats than could be found at Ibrox these days.
Clearly, though, this was an extremely capable group of players, with an unparalleled record.
