On Sunday against Hearts, Rangers went top of the league for the first time in seven years. Against Aberdeen tomorrow night, we have got to fight to stay there.
Symbolically, beating probably the third and fourth best teams in Scotland within a matter of days of each other is huge.
It’s a bit of a marker to the rest of the league. Rangers need to become fearful opponents to teams in Scotland.

There has been lots of talk of Celtic’s ability and their strength in depth since we went top. We’ll see what tells on December the 29th.
But we don’t need to be better than them on paper to win this league. What we do need to be is better than everyone else and make sure we don’t drop points from here on in.
That starts with Aberdeen tomorrow night.
Time to prove we’ve really leapfrogged Aberdeen
If we can dump the Dons at Ibrox, firstly we stay top of the league. After that, we psychologically nudge the Northerners. We’re better than them and this season is proving it.
It’s growing increasingly unlikely they’ll need a dubious result as Celtic Park to pip us to second. Celtic might need the points themselves this time round.

The first match at Pittodrie ended 1-1 in controversial circumstances. Scott McKenna inflamed Morelos and the Colombian was sent off.
Tomorrow night the striker can break a Scottish Premiership record if he scores.
Aberdeen also nicked that draw it in the last minute.
The other meeting between the sides this season – the League Cup semi-final – is better resigned to the history books.
This time round, we welcome them to Ibrox, where we remain unbeaten this season.
If Rangers are serious about challenging for the title, then we have to dispatch Aberdeen on home soil tomorrow night.
