Inverness Caledonian Thistle chief executive Scot Gardiner has claimed that Dundee secretary Eric Drysdale gave his “solemn word” the Dens Park submitted a no vote to SPFL league proposals.

Dundee now sits at the heart of the SPFL’s potentially league-ending proposals with their vote now the deciding one on league proposals.

However, despite growing evidence that Dundee submitted a no vote, this is not being recognised by the SPFL.

Speaking on BBC Sportsound, Gardiner is claiming that a “no” voting slip was seen in a group chat which is used by Scottish Championship chief executives and was sent at 1624.

This was followed up with the comment “DFC vote submitted” at 1652.

This is before the 1700 advisory deadline set by the SPFL and will now bring into question why the members association for Scottish clubs has not recognised the vote.

Reports have claimed that there was a “technical question mark” over Dundee’s vote which has prevented the vote being counted.

Dundee has been clear throughout the process that they do not support the proposals, releasing a statement explaining why prior to submitting their vote.

Gardiner also explains that the reason why Inverness voted no was because they “could not stomach” the idea of causing financial harm to fellow clubs through relegation during these times.

They also explain that alongside Partick Thistle, Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Dundee were committed to voting down the proposals after much dialogue over the course of the week.

Gardiner explains that ICT “thought it was fundamentally wrong to conflate the two things of promotion and relegation with receiving funds which are, after all, the clubs’ funds.”
