Rangers fans tend to make quite an impression wherever they go and last night in Spain was no different.
In the days leading up the game, fans were proudly singing and dancing through the streets of Benidorm, Valencia and Villarreal.
There’s been no reports of trouble and everyone had fun in the Spanish sun.
Rangers fought back superbly to earn a 2-2 draw in El Madrigal. The Spanish papers had plenty to say on the performance of both teams and the Rangers fans.

Mundo acknowledges support
Spanish newspaper Mundo said that despite going behind “the blow did not cool the spirits of the nearly two thousand Scots who supported their team from the cage of the Ceramic Stadium.”
The paper was however less congratulatory about the Rangers team. They said it was two points dropped from the home side.
By and large the Spanish press looked down on Gerrard’ Rangers side in a footballing sense.
Rangers team looked down upon in Spain
Marca, a daily sport newspaper, were one of the only ones who praised Rangers, saying the Glasgow side earner their point in Villarreal.
Marca’s Euan McTear also spoke of Rangers exacting revenge after that questionable Champions League last 16 defeat on away goals in 2006.

El Pais, Mundo and Mundo Deportivo were all very critical of Rangers.
El Pais called Rangers “a minor team led by a great”, Mundo said Rangers were “soft in defence and innocent in attack” and Mundo Deportivo said we barely showed up in the first half.
Not that Rangers fans will be caring – we took a point away when no-one thought we could.
