Those were the words of the latest hero of the Rangers fans, Ianis Hagi, as his double downed Braga in a 3-2 win on his European debut for the club.
The Romanian talent scored twice as his old man watched on from the stands and the winger couldn’t hold back his excitement as he spoke after the match.
“It’s amazing – this is Ibrox, baby!” said Hagi [BT Sport].
“It’s just different on a night like this. I’ve had some pretty good moments before but scoring a brace in a European competition is amazing – a dream come true.
“You can’t stop – even at 2-0 down. We played at home with our fans and we knew one moment could bring us back into it.
“He had to stay positive and work for it. Amazing things happen at Ibrox.
“We knew Braga would come here and play. They have played well in the last two months in Portugal.
“This is just the first leg and we have to play well next week. It’s not finished.”
The quote has been well received by Rangers fans and it’s one of the most memorable takeaways from a memorable night under the lights in Glasgow.
Hagi isn’t the first player to be completely taken aback by the power of Ibrox on a European night and it says something about his own character that he stepped up when the pressure was on.
Already falling in love with the talented attacking midfielder, the Rangers fans appear to have taken Hagi’s comments and turned them into a new catchphrase.
