Partick Thistle manager Ian McCall has raved about Rangers attacking midfielder Malik Tillman on BBC Sportsound, and has said that he hopes that the youngster stays at Ibrox beyond the end of the season.
McCall was hugely impressed by how Tillman played for Rangers against his Thistle side at Ibrox today.
Rangers got the better of Thistle 3-2 at home in the fifth round of the Scottish Cup this evening.
Tillman, who is on loan at Rangers from Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich at the moment, scored for Michael Beale’s side in the 71st minute.
It was a controversial goal.
Rangers put the ball out after Tillman pulled up with a knock.
After the restart, the 20-year-old USA international robbed Kevin Holt and evaded chasing defenders and Jamie Sneddon to score.

Thistle were not happy at all and felt that it was unsportsmanlike behaviour from Tillman.
Rangers manager Beale seemingly agreed and allowed Thistle to score unopposed.
Now, while McCall was not too impressed with Tillman for the way in which he scored the second goal, he did feel that the Rangers youngster played well, and hopes that he plays in Scotland next season as well.
Ian McCall on Rangers star Malik Tillman
McCall said: “The first thing I’ll say about Malik Tillman is I hope he can stay in Scotland. He can play. He can really play.
“I don’t think he knew what he was doing [for the second goal]. Mick [Beale] showed an awful lot of class, so did [James] Tavernier to do what they did. There’s no blaming anyone.”
