It appears that not even being an MSP makes you exempt from the glorious pain inflicted by Rangers stuffing biggest rivals Celtic on their own patch.
The famous Glasgow Rangers beat the Celtic 2-1 to send their fans home happy ahead of what promises to be on an extra-special Hogmany for the bluenoses.
But for old friend, SNP MSP James Dornan, how’s he ever going to pick himself up after such a spirit-crushing defeat at Celtic Park?
Those sweet, sweet tears.
Far from analysing the disgraceful performance from his ageing, creaking team, Dornan focuses on all this blown up nonsense about Ryan Kent, Alfredo Morelos and minute’s applause.
It is utterly mental the depths which rival fans will plough in their attempt to reconcile results like this with themselves.
Celtic were well beaten. It is as simple as that. This fall-out stuff, this crying and whinging and desperation for some kind of political or footballing or legal ramification is pathetic.
For people like James Dornan, the salty pain of the defeat can be eased by some retrospective ban for an Ibrox player or by bashing the Rangers support.
It is immensely transparent and, in my humble opinion, incredibly unbecoming of an elected representative.
Show some decorum. Show some class. Hell, show some dignity. This isn’t the first time the MSP has had a run-in with Rangers either.
Dornan’s contempt for the football club we hold dear to our hearts has resulted in clashes with shareholders Club 1872 in the past.
Well, he was involved in an attempt to deny Rangers a Fan Zone on Council property [Club 1872] alongside Councillors who lied about communications concerning the decision.
Dornan was also forced to apologise to Club 1872 after making vexatious and false claims on Twitter about their approach to him.
But still, his tweet can’t be anything to do with the fact Celtic were soundly beaten on Sunday. In Celtic Park. Did I say that bit already?
