Jack Ross has reportedly been sacked as Hibs manager after a woeful run of form as Easter Road boss – just weeks after overcoming Rangers at Hampden in the Premier Sports Cup.
According to the Daily Mail, the Hibees have taken this decision only a week before the Premier Sports Cup Final against Celtic, which the Leith side reached by beating Rangers 3-1.

Ex-St Mirren manager Jack Ross has overseen an awful run of Hibs league form where the Edinburgh side have won only once in their last nine matches, including seven defeats.
This culminated in a 1-0 loss to Livingston during the week, with Jack McMillan scoring for the Lions and Hibs being reduced to nine men after Paul McGinn and Paul Hanlon were sent off.
This is the second time in recent weeks Hibs have been reduced to nine men, with Jack Ross’ side having two men sent off in a 1-0 defeat to Ross County.
Hibs fans – aware their side are now languishing in 7th place in the Scottish Premiership despite having one of the biggest budgets – then met the ex-Sunderland boss with chants of “sacked in the morning”.
A despondent Jack Ross was pressed on this BBC Sportsound after the match and had this to say.
Jack Ross rakes responsibility for poor Hibs form despite Rangers semi-final win
“It’s part of the job. I have done this for nearly 300 games now. By and large I have pretty positive times as a manager,” said Jack Ross.
“You know you will get criticised and that criticism grows when you are not producing positive results. We’re not doing that right now.
“There’s times where I would be more defensive if I felt the performance was good because everyone judges it on the end result.
“But tonight all the criticism I receive will be justified because I am in charge of that team.
“That level of performance was not good enough so the criticism should fall upon me.”

This now appears to have come culminated in Jack Ross’ sacking and given Hibs’ remarkably poor form as of late – something which was kicked off by that 2-1 defeat at Ibrox in October – Rangers fans will be lamenting that Hampden defeat to his side.
Now another man will be in charge of Hibs for the clash with Celtic at Hampden with the early rumours suggesting a return for ex-Celtic boss Neil Lennon amongs Hibs fans.
Rangers fans have also been indulging in the coverage of Hibs’ latest defeat as a Scottish Premiership rival turns the screw.
