As Rangers drew another blank last night, it’s clear that that elements of the side need to improve.
In attacking areas, Morelos fights a lone hand. The Colombian gave it everything, registering seven shots – four of which on target – but he was unable to beat Adam Bogdan.

Most of his opportunities were self-made, by harrying defenders or setting off on driving runs.
Throughout the game, he received next to no quality service from wide areas.
Daniel Candeias was unusually subdued, and Eros Grezda again showed a total inability to provide a quality final ball.
The Albanian demonstrated great pace on occasions. Yet, without fail, every time he was in a position to slip Morelos in, he gave the ball away.

Kent’s absence noticeable
Grezda’s performance on the left side demonstrated just how much the Gers miss Ryan Kent. The 22-year-old’s latest injury setback was a major blow for the side in the middle of a congested December.
He has three goals so far in the SPL and offers much more quality in the final third.
With Glenn Middleton also experiencing a dip in form of late, Rangers are lacking a confident left-sided player. As he did on his initial comeback against Dundee, the Liverpool loanee can also slot into a number 10 role when required.

Having Kent fit and available would be a boost to either of those areas, as Rangers continue to struggle.
Instead, right now, the team lacks composure and most importantly, genuine quality.
