Hibernian fans have raved about Rangers loanee Jamie Murphy after he scored the winner in their 1-0 Last 16 League Cup triumph over Dundee on Saturday afternoon.
Murphy joined Hibs in August on an initial loan which will become a permanent deal in the summer.

The 31-year-old initially struggled to shake off niggles following the move, ensuring he only played a minor role for Jack Ross across his first two months in Edinburgh.
However, he’s burst into life recently, scoring and notching an assist in a 2-2 draw with Celtic last weekend before coming up with the goods once again at Easter Road on Saturday.
Murphy was played in behind the Dundee defence by Kevin Nisbet in the 44th minute and he sped clear before stroking a clinical left-footed finish beyond Jack Hamilton and into the bottom right corner.

It was a rare moment of quality in a scrappy game and it proved to be enough to book the Hibees a place in the quarter-finals.
Murphy was replaced by Drey Wright in the 80th minute and was later chosen as the home side’s Man of the Match.
Plenty of Hibernian fans were impressed by the Gers loanee’s contribution and praised him on social media.
Here’s a selection of reactions to his efforts from Twitter:

Rangers will be hoping to join Hibs in the draw by beating Falkirk on Sunday but if the two sides meet in the quarter-finals, Murphy will be ineligible due to the terms of his loan deal.
