Hibernian manager Paul Heckingbottom has praised a new Rangers signing, as quoted by the Scottish Sun.
The Gers held off significant competition to land the signature of Joe Aribo in June. The 23-year-old Londoner arrived at Ibrox on the back of an impressive League One campaign and has hit the ground running.
He’s scored in all three qualifying rounds of the Europa League – impressing Gers fans – while he came close on a number of occasions on his Scottish Premiership debut last weekend.

Hibernian boss praises Rangers midfielder
Now, he has Hibs in his sights, and their manager is very aware of the threat he carries.
“I saw a lot of Aribo in the under-21s before he got in the first team at Charlton,” said Heckingbottom, as quoted by the Scottish Sun. “I know a lot about him and he’ll impress people up here.”
“He’s got good athleticism and balance and can play different roles in that Rangers midfield.”

Verdict
It’s a little surprising to see the opposition manager talk up one of Rangers’ summer additions on the eve of such a big clash.
Hibs are looking to continue their winning start to the campaign. Meanwhile, the Gers must respond to Celtic’s thumping of Motherwell.
Heckingbottom managed exclusively in England before taking the reins at Easter Road, and that’s clearly allowed him to see plenty of Aribo in action.
He’s been a real standout in his first weeks as a Gers player, bringing a different dynamic to the midfield with his cultured left foot.
It’s his prowess in the final third that’s been the real bonus so far, though, and he’ll be hoping to open his domestic account at Ibrox this afternoon.
