Scoring the winner against your biggest rivals as a 17-year-old would be the dream of most football fans and it came true for Aaron Hickey at the weekend.
For someone so young, the talented Hearts full-back continues to impress in the big matches, his deflected winner in the 2-1 win over Hibs symbolising the ballsiness of the young lad.
Hickey ran off in delirium after the strike hit the back of the net and the Hearts fans won’t want him to go anywhere but should Rangers have an eye on this kid?

Hickey is an energetic, attacking, capable full-back who can play on either side of the defence.
The general consensus is that the Scotland U17s international is a natural left-back but can also play on the right – something which adds extra value to the talented full-back.
Indeed, it was a right-footed effort coming in from the left that arched into the top corner off Hibs Josh Vela at Easter Road – coincidentally his first goal in professional football.
Hickey also impressed against Celtic in the Scottish Cup final last season and has previously trained with our Old Firm rivals.
Now, he is emerging as one of the country’s brightest young talents and his versatility is simply another string to the exciting youngster’s all-action bow.
Rangers will surely be monitoring how young Aaron Hickey progresses over the course of this season and maybe even the next.
Already linked with the likes of Manchester City, Hickey is being touted for big things in the game.
Should he become available for an agreeable price, is this weekend’s hero of Gorgie someone we should be looking to eventually bring into Ibrox?
