Hamza Igamane is yet to score for Rangers in the Old Firm derby against Celtic.
But the young Moroccan striker already knows what the clash between Glasgow’s Old Firm is all about.
It’s been a whirlwind few months for Hamza Igamane at Rangers with the striker bursting onto the scene at Ibrox and even being named January’s Player of the Month.
In a recent interview, Hamza has been reflecting on that win over Celtic and has also singled out the biggest moment of his Ibrox career to date.
Hamza Igamane on Rangers ‘rage’ v Celtic
Hamza Igamane put in an inspired performance in the thumping 3-0 victory over Celtic at Ibrox back in January and savoured every moment.
That Old Firm victory was a long time coming and the Rangers team roared back from Premier Sports Cup disappointment to record a crucial victory over their rivals.
Igamane has hailed the Old Firm derby and claims that when he’s on the pitch v Celtic, the Rangers striker feels the ‘rage to win’.
”It was a magnificent derby,” Igamane told French language magazine Onze Mondial.
“In this kind of match, you feel all the passion, all the fervour of these people for football, especially in this city.
“It is really an impressive rivalry between the two clubs. When you are on the field, you feel this rage to win.
“And in terms of the atmosphere in the stands, it was really great. Personally, I really enjoyed the match.”
Hamza Igamane on most ‘significant’ moment in Rangers career
Hamza Igamane has also experienced the ‘extraordinary atmosphere’ at Ibrox on a big European night.
Rangers have secured safe progression to the Europa League last 16 with Igamane rattling in four goals in the revamped League Phase.
But one of those stand out more than all the rest, with Igamane lashing the ball into the back of the net against Premier League giants Tottenham Hotspur.
Igamane has reiterated he’s ‘happy’ at Rangers amid resultant glances from the English top flight.
But the Rangers striker has admitted that the wonderful effort against Ange Postecoglou’s side is the ‘most significant’ moment of his Ibrox career to date.

”The one against Tottenham, in the Europa League, in an extraordinary atmosphere, at Ibrox Park,” Igamane explained ‘without hesitation’ when asked about his most important goal.
”The stadium was full and the noise deafening. In addition, it is a kind of derby between a Scottish club and an English club, so of course, when I score, I feel the adrenaline invade me.
“It is my most significant goal since my arrival.”
