Hamilton v Rangers signals a return to club football tomorrow for the Ibrox team after a pretty stressful two weeks off the field.

But the break was also a chance to get some players fit. Eros Grezda played 90 minutes for Albania, Ryan Jack looks set to return tomorrow and we’ve caught a breather.

The challenge now is picking up where we left off. We’re coming off the back of two huge wins, but two huge wins 14 days ago. Hamilton v Rangers is also the chance to finally get the away day monkey off our back.

Rangers are without a win away from home this season. We’ve dropped points at Aberdeen, Celtic, Motherwell and Livingston. It needs to end here.

We also need to pick up a head of steam ahead of a huge match Thursday. That said, expect Gerrard to go as full strength as he can here. This is an important three points.

Halliday comes in over Coulibaly after Gerrard mentioned the Malian came in late from international duty. Andy also did the press conference.

The biggest dilemma is between Kent and Grezda. Does Gerrard rest Kent for Thursday whilst giving Eros Grezda an essential first start? On Hamilton’s plastic pitch, I don’t think so. But Gerrard’s better placed than me to make that judgement. That’s the same reason McAuley might not start either.

We need a big performance tomorrow. Momentum is huge in football and getting a win to launch us into the next batch of games is vital.
