German club Hamburg have sent a special congratulatory message to Rangers and Celtic’s conquerors FC Copenhagen on Twitter following their respective Europa League wins.
The Gers triumphed 4-2 on aggregate over in-form Portuguese club Braga, while the Danish capital club emerged victorious via the same aggregate scoreline following a 3-1 win at Parkhead on Thursday night.
Hamburg, a massive club who recently dropped down to the Bundesliga 2, historically have friendly relations with both the sides and tweeted a classy message on Friday morning.
Congratulations to our friends in Glasgow and Copenhagen on progressing to the next round of the Europa League 🔵⚪⚫

The message was tweeted before the last 16 draw, which was made shortly after 12pm.
Some Bears have expressed their nerves after Rangers were paired with in-form Bundesliga outfit, Bayer Leverkusen, who have won nine of their last ten matches in all competitions.
Meanwhile, Copenhagen’s reward for silencing Parkhead is a tie against Istanbul Basaksehir.
The Turkish club don’t have the same European pedigree as some others who have reached this stage, but they topped their group, dumped out Sporting Lisbon in the Round of 32 and are currently top of the domestic Super Lig.
It seems Hamburg will be watching the progress of both clubs with interest, while they mount their own promotion charge over the remaining months of the season.
They currently sit third in the second tier, six points behind Arminia Bielefeld and three behind VFB Stuttgart.
