Hot on the heels of our evaluation of Allan McGregor, another Gers ‘keeper, is under the Rangers News microscope.

Unfortunately, the former Swindon stopper has had a much worse time of it than his teammate.
For the previous three seasons, the athletic 6ft 1′ star was Rangers’ no.1 between the sticks. Over that period, he racked up over 100 league appearances and generally, performed well.
However, he has barely got a look in since McGregor’s arrival.
It’s possible that Foderingham has been the biggest loser under Gerrard’s regime.

He has went from one of the first names on the team sheet, to a consistent bench warmer. In fact, he has managed just four appearances to date.
Only one of those came in the league, in a 1-1 home draw against Kilmarnock.
He did little wrong in his four outings. Solid, if unspectacular.
Ultimately, it’s tough to criticise Foderingham given how little game time he has received.
McGregor has been magnificent and therefore, undroppable.
It must have been a shock to the system to suddenly be relegated to the role of back-up. However, to his credit, Wes hasn’t moaned about his situation, he has simply got on with it.
This guy is a proven performer, and although he has had little to no impact on Rangers’ season to date, that is largely down to circumstances beyond his control.
It would be a surprise if multiple clubs don’t register formal interest in the player’s services over the coming weeks.
