Two new Rangers signings have been spotted in training for the first time.
The club posted a training video on Twitter and uploaded a photo gallery as the extended first-team squad was put through its paces on the first day of pre-season.
A bleep test greeted those returning from holiday in what looked a gruelling session.
However, Bears will probably more interested in who was and who wasn’t on site for the first day back.
Jordan Jones was nowhere to be seen having recently returned from international duty, but both Greg Stewart and Jake Hastie could be spotted taking part.
Newbies tested on first day
Stewart’s arrival has long been in the pipeline and he was officially announced as a Rangers player last week.

After a poor second half of last season, not all Bears are convinced he’s top addition. However, he has already been tipped to thrive by the likes of Kris Boyd [Sunday Post] and Livingston manager Gary Holt [
Hastie’s his Ibrox switch was confirmed before the season was out. He was still contracted to Motherwell at the time, though, he’s had to wait before linking up with his new teammates.
Plenty of Rangers fans were excited by his signing. Yet, it remains to be seen how much of a role he will have next season.

The Scottish Sun reports he’s set to head out on loan to further his development. With a whole host of wingers already at Steven Gerrard’s disposal and at Sheyi Ojo likely to further strengthen resources [Daily Record], a stint elsewhere would guarantee Hastie playing time.
Nonetheless, it’s good to see finally see both new arrivals in Rangers training kit. Both will be looking to impress Steven Gerrard over the coming weeks, regardless of their prospective roles over the coming season.
