Celtic goalkeeper Joe Hart has said that he is happy for Jack Butland that he has moved to Rangers.

Jack Butland completed his move to Rangers last month.

Butland joined the Gers on a free transfer after his contract with Crystal Palace in the Premier League ran out at the end of last season.

The 30-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at Manchester United from Palace.

Butland has signed a four-year contract with Rangers.

Hart has been on the books of Celtic since 2021 when he joined from Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur.

And the former Manchester City goalkeeper has said that he is happy for Butland to have made the move to Rangers.

Hart told The Scotsman about Butland: “Good move for him. Obviously I go way back with Jack.

“I’m very respectful of the two clubs that we play for so I’m not really going to go into it but I’m happy that he’s found a home.

“I have spoken to him. We’re going to we share the same city but, as I say, I’ve got a lot of respect for what goes on between the two clubs and I’m sure he’s going to go and do his thing and I’ll try and do mine.”

Good signing for the Gers

In our opinion, Jack Butland is a very good signing for Rangers.

We expect the 30-year-old to go straight into the Rangers starting lineup.

Butland is a hugely experienced goalkeeper who has played nine times for England.

The goalkeeper has turned out for the likes of Birmingham City, Stoke City and Leeds United (on loan), and we believe that he would be able to make an immediate impact at Rangers and become a big player for Michael Beale’s side.
