Glen Kamara left out of Dundee squad for Queen of the South match

Rangers pre-contract signing Glen Kamara was left out of the Dundee squad for their visit of Queen of the South today.
The midfielder has been the subject of much transfer talk going into their Scottish Cup tie.
Both Dundee Manager Jim McIntyre and striker Kenny Miller have spoken about Kamara’s eagerness to join Rangers this window. Dundee also reportedly failed in a swap deal/loan exchange with Ross McCrorie for the midfielder.

But a deal is yet to be agreed on the player, even if it looks like it might be close.

Kamara’s omission from the squad in such a high-profile game looks to be an ominous sign for Dundee. And that can only be Rangers’ gain.
The Dens Park side toiled to a 1-1 draw against Championship Queen of the South. That means the lower league outfit have forced a replay against the side in the coming month.

Dundee’s Jesse Curran equalised for the Scottish Premiership side after Rangers fan Stephen Dobbie had the Queens fans dreaming.

Kamara was the most notable omission from a side that included the likes of Cammy Kerr and Kenny Miller.
Kamara signed a pre-contract at Ibrox along with Jordan Jones at the beginning of the transfer window.
The Arsenal Academy graduate and Finland international has nine caps for his country and looks an intriguing addition for the Ibrox side.
