Glasgow City Council has granted Rangers a warrant for an important upgrade to Ibrox Stadium.
The warrant will allow Rangers to update the roof cladding of Ibrox as well as remove three old gutters. It is the latest in a long line of investments into the stadium and its surrounding grounds.
It means Rangers can now press on and apply these much-needed updates to the stadium. Ibrox Stadium itself has suffered as Rangers have experienced financial troubles.
The stadium, whilst not completely in a state of disrepair, needs investment to bring it up to an acceptable, elite modern standard.
Cladding work was also conducted on the Broomloan and Copland stands back in November. In 2017
the club also installed new LED lighting in the Sandy Jardine and Copland stands.

In the recent game against Hearts, Rangers beamed images onto the main stand at Ibrox. The exciting lighting show is about improving the match day experience and was well received by fans.
The club has also revealed plans to create a new memorial garden in the grounds of Ibrox. The garden will remember the victims of the Ibrox Disaster and serve as an area of reflection for fans.
After Glasgow City Council gave the blue light for the latest building work, Rangers can move forward in their ambitions to bring Ibrox back up to speed.
