Ridvan Yilmaz has had to be patient to get his chance at Rangers and, against Livingston, he showed why the fans should be patient too.
The Turkey international, signed for an initial £3.4m, didn’t just score a fine solo goal against Livingston, he added a totally different dimension to the Light Blues attack.
In Ridvan Yilmaz, Rangers have a full-back who can get behind opposition defences and has the pace to cause problems from anywhere on the park.

Ridvan Yilmaz proves he can be Rangers attacking solution
The 22-year old might not be in the Europa League squad and was linked with a move away in the summer but, against Livingston, his display was an indication of what he can do against stuff and defence minded teams.
He is multi-dimensional.
We all know what Borna Barisic can do, unfortunately so do other defenders in Scotland.
Close him down quickly and his one weapon is gone.
Ridvan Yilmaz, on the other hand, can offer Rangers a variety of approaches.
The former Besiktas left-back might not be as good a crosser as Barisic but he can still put in a decent ball.
It is his threat with the ball at his feet that is more useful against teams like Livingston though.

His goal was sensational, three players tried and failed to keep up with the diminutive defender and that was with the ball at his feet.
If the Rangers midfield and forward line can adapt to the runs that Yilmaz makes and find him more often, we could get a lot more joy down the left flank.
There are plenty games for both Barisic and Ridvan Yilmaz to play but we have seen what happens when teams isolate the Croat, if Rangers are to improve domestically, the pace, trickery and attacking intent of the young Turk has to be seen more often.
