Rangers fans have been reacting to a clip of former captain Lee Wallace after it resurfaced on Twitter this week.
The ex-Ibrox captain might’ve left the club in the summer, but he remains fondly thought of by the Rangers support for sticking by the club during the tumultuous events of 2012.
Whilst things didn’t always go right for Lee on the climb back up to the top, his contribution and sacrifice is richly lauded by a fanbase who felt many had given on up them.
Speaking to the press during his time as captain, Wallace is filmed discussing the “privilege” of playing for Glasgow Rangers.
“There is always going to be negativity here but I’ll never let that detract from the bigger picture when you’re a Rangers football player”, said Wallace.
“There is no room for feeling negative. You come in here, you’re walking into a first-class training facility. You know that you’re going to get better.
“There’s so many positives of being a Rangers player that you can never let four-five weeks to ever put any doubts in your mind that your blessed, and you’re grateful and you should appreciate where you are and the fact that you’re a Rangers player.
“Playing for the world’s most successful club, playing in front of the best fans on the planet, and you can never let that deviate away from the feeling that you’ve got for this club.”

The emotional Rangers skipper was out speaking during an eerily similar spell of woeful form at Ibrox and let’s not forget he was routinely criticised when things weren’t going to plan.
But many supporters believe that it is the passion which Wallace displays here which is missing from the current Rangers team.
Gerrard’s charges have proved they have ability throughout his 20 months in charge, but they often haven’t found the right collective mentality.
The club supporters took to Twitter to reflect on the comments of Wallace:

Rangers fans have paid particular attention to the clip because of recent anger directed at captain James Tavernier and vice-captain Connor Goldson.
The leaders of the team bear great responsibility during periods of poor form and fans have been frustrated at Tavernier for his defeatist sounding programme notes against Hamilton.
It’s seen Tav’s suitability for the Ibrox captaincy come under the microscope with fan pressure on the right-back to help turn the team’s form around.
