Infamous Rangers flop Umar Sadiq has continued his fine form with Almeria by winning the Spanish second division’s Player of the Month award for January.
The Nigerian striker – who only moved to Andalusia in the summer – has been turning heads with his form in Spain with the striker netting five goals in three games last month.

This will come as a considerable surprise to Rangers fans as the striker is rewarded for his fine form in La Liga 2 with the forward’s eyes firmly set on a promotion charge this season.
UD Almeria currently sit third in the Spanish Segunda, five points off leaders Mallorca with a game in hand on both them and second place Espanyol, who have the same points.
Much of Almeria’s form this season has been down to the performances of Sadiq who has netted 11 goals in the competition putting him third in the division’s scoring charts.
Sadiq, 24, has impressed so much with Almeria he was even linked with a move across Spain to La Liga side Sevilla [Complete Sports].
In fact, since Sadiq returned to AS Roma from Rangers following a disastrous loan spell in 2018, the striker has carved out an impressive career.
Sadiq netted 23 goals and laid on 19 assists in 52 matches with Partizan Belgrade, a record which firstly earned him a permanent move to Serbia after an initially successful loan spell.
Those numbers then earned him the £4.5m move to Almeria where Sadiq has since gone on to replace the influence of Uruguayan striker and familiar Rangers foe Darwin Nunez, who moved to Benfica in the summer.
The striker has previously railed against Rangers boss Steven Gerrard who Sadiq claims didn’t have the “courage” to tell him his loan spell at Ibrox was ending.
