Steven Gerrard has reserved special praise for one of his midfielders after the win over Celtic, as quoted by the Daily Record.
Steven Davis put in another strong shift, while Glen Kamara received plenty of praise from Bears.

However, the manager lauded the final member of the midfield trio, Ryan Jack. He arrived from Aberdeen in 2017 and after a slowish start, is really coming into his own.
The 27-year-old scored the winner the last time the two sides met at Ibrox. Yet, while he wasn’t on the scoresheet on Sunday, he worked tirelessly in midfield.
It’s clear that he thrives on the physicality of the Old Firm, but he also has the composure to use the ball effectively in the heat of the battle.

“Jacko has been a dream to coach, a dream to be around,” said Gerrard, as
“He coaches himself. He’s a winner, he has incredible standards.
“I’m delighted with him and he is one who you toss into any team sheet you can find.”
That’s high praise for a manager to give to any player. Particularly, though, when the manager is Gerrard, a legendary midfield operator himself.

While others have struggled in terms of discipline this season, Jack has cleaned up his act.
He now seems to really understand his role and the qualities he brings to the team, ensuring he’s a consistently impressive performer.
