On Friday morning, as followed by the Rangers Twitter account, Steven Gerrard addressed the media.
The press conference was due to preview Saturday’s fixture against Kilmarnock.
However, on the back of two disappointing results on the bounce, other topics came up.

One of which, was the club’s future plans in the transfer market.
Since Gerrard arrived at Ibrox, there have been a significant changes to the playing roster.
Many players from the brief Caixinha era left and replacements were brought in. In January, the ranks were strengthened further.
It hasn’t been enough to propel Rangers to silverware, though.
Therefore, more activity could be on the horizon.
“There needed to be a squad overhaul when I arrived”, said Gerrard, as quoted by the
“There will be change and better players to add more quality but I don’t expect the same in terms of numbers.”
“We need a bit of magic and a few key additions.”

Thankfully, it seems the manager is on the same wavelength as the supporters.
These comments suggest that creativity is the number one priority in the summer.
If the club can add real quality in that area, surely they won’t be far away from success.
