Steven Gerrard had some good news for Rangers fans, today.
During the pre-match press conference for the tomorrow night’s Scottish Premiership clash against Kilmarnock, the manager touched on a number of hot topics in Scottish football.
In addition, he provided injury updates on Borna Barisic and Connor Goldson.

However, perhaps more excitingly for Gers fans, he had information on the club’s two marquee signings.
Steven Davis and Jermain Defoe.
Gerrard confirmed that both players should feature tomorrow night.
It will be Defoe’s competitive debut, and Davis’ first such appearance for the Gers since 2012.
He also praised the two former Premier League stars’ impact on training.
“That was instant (the standard of training increasing). I think adding a player of Davis’ quality in the middle of midfield and bringing in a striker of Jermain’s class, we knew the quality was always going to go up.”
“But, what I would say, is that before they arrived the team were doing ever so well”, Gerrard added.

A touch of diplomacy then, after dishing out praise to the new arrivals.
With both players getting 45 minutes under their belt’s against HJK Helsinki, surely they are likely to get the nod from the start tomorrow night.
If they hit the ground running, Rangers can be confident of emerging with three points.
