Steven Gerrard has delivered an injury update during an interview with RangersTV, in the wake of the win over Celtic.
The Gers dominated from start to finish and were well worthy of the 2-0 win.

However, as usual, it was a physical encounter. It seems as though that’s taken its toll on several members of the starting XI.
“We’ll probably look slightly different next week, because we’ve got a couple of knocks and a couple of injuries from today’s game,” said Gerrard in an interview with RangersTV, when asked to comment on the final game of the season at Kilmarnock.
“We’ve got a bounce game on Tuesday against Chelsea. I want some people to get some minutes in preparation for the weekend.”
“I’ll try and pick the best team I can pick at the weekend, but it might look slightly different because we’ve got some people that are injured today.”

Verdict
It was vital that the Gers were first to every ball and stronger in every tackle against Celtic.
In ticking those boxes, it looks as though some have come off worse for wear. It’s unclear who Gerrard was referring to, as yet. Jermain Defoe looked to be hobbling a little before he came off, while Steven Davis and Scott Arfield were both replaced in the closing stages.
However, there’s more than enough quality elsewhere in the squad to secure a victory against Killie, so this is no disaster. A seven-game winning streak to end the season is still possible.
It goes to show that some players left it all on the pitch at Ibrox, and you can’t ask for much more than that.
