Ahead of Sunday’s clash with Celtic, Rangers boss Steven Gerrard says his side are targeting an unbeaten season, but that winning the Scottish Cup is now his number one priority [Glasgow Times].
After securing the Premiership title earlier this month with six games to spare, the coaching staff and the players took some time to celebrate their achievement.

Now though, naturally, attention is turning to what else can be achieved before the end of the campaign.
A Europa League exit to Slavia Prague on Thursday night brought European hopes to an end but there’s still plenty to play for on the domestic front.
Gerrard and his players have been ardent proponents of the ‘one game at a time’ approach all season, but the Gers boss briefly broke from that mould ahead of the Old Firm to confirm that an unbeaten season will be used as a motivation for the group for the remaining Premiership fixtures.
However, he has also made it clear that because it constitutes another chance to win silverware, the Scottish Cup is now his main focus.
“The priority now, which won’t be a surprise to anyone, is the Scottish Cup because the main thing we get judged on here is success and winning trophies and that is our next opportunity,” said Gerrard [Glasgow Times].
“So if I had the choice, it would be to have a successful run in the Scottish Cup rather than this Invincible tag or going the remainder of the season unbeaten.
“We will try it and we will use it as a motivation. But the priority is the Scottish Cup right now.”

If Rangers can go the whole Premiership campaign unbeaten it would be an incredible achievement, especially given how poorly they were performing when the 2019/20 season was ended early.
An outstanding level of consistency has been shown across the first 32 matches, with 28 wins, four draws, 77 goals and a plethora of clean sheets.
A third consecutive away win over Celtic on Sunday would stretch the gap between the Champions and their fiercest rivals to 23 points and ensure only five league matches stand between the Gers and an ‘invincible’ tag.
