Rangers star Ryan Kent has made a decision on his future – and he’s told Ibrox boss Steven Gerrard he wants to stay at Ibrox.
The tricky winger fought tooth-and-nail to secure a deal at Rangers last season and according to the Scottish Sun, Kent is not interested in going anywhere else just yet.
The report also claims that Kent is “furious” at the suggestion from 90min.com that he wanted to try and force a move to Leeds United.
Newly promoted Premier League outfit Leeds United have had a reported £10m bid for Kent chucked out of Ibrox but there is a suggestion Marcelo Bielsa could return with an improved bid.
Journalist Alan Nixon believes that this could be around £14m and also confirmed that there is no release clause in the winger’s contract [Nixon].
Rangers boss Steven Gerrard admitted that any deal could be taken out of his hands but reiterated just how important the talented forward is to the club’s ambitions this season [Glasgow Times].
Kent appears to have taken a considerable step up in the early days of this campaign and looks like adding proper numbers to his game this season.
As a result Leeds United might well be hovering over the player, but the Sun report suggests Kent is not interested in going anywhere.
Kent, 23, also showed just how committed he is to the cause at Rangers with the side’s second goal in the 2-0 win over Kilmarnock at the weekend.
