A total of four players have returned to Rangers first-team training with three of them returning after an extended break due to Euro 2020.
Scotland internationals Nathan Patterson and Jon McLaughlin have returned to the scene, whilst Finnish international Glen Kamara is spotted back in training amid high-profile exit links down south.
The other player who has returned to training is midfielder Scott Arfield, who is believed to have had a small injury ahead of pre-season.
The addition of these four players will come as a welcome boost to Steven Gerrard ahead of the club’s remaining pre-season fixtures.
Rangers have already played matches against Partick Thistle and Tranmere Rovers but the club’s preparations will step up from here on out.
The Gers face Arsenal at Ibrox this weekend before travelling to Bloomfield Road for a friendly with Blackpool and then hosting Premier League Brighton and Spanish giants Real Madrid.
Rangers first-team coach Michael Beale spoke earlier in pre-season about the opportunities available to those on the fringes whilst the first team are away.
But with another nine or so names expected to join up with the team over the next week competition for places will continue to heat up.

“The current squad [at first-team training] is a split of first-team players, Academy and players who’ll go on loan so we’ve still got around 12 or 13 players to come back in and start training,” said Beale [RangersTV].
Whilst it’s great to see the likes of Glen Kamara back in training, his presence at Auchenhowie is unlikely to stop high-profile links to the Premier League from stopping.
