Rangers are on the hunt for a new manager after the sacking of Michael Beale, and one of the names being mentioned now is Julen Lopetegui.
Julen Lopetegui is one of the best managers available, and Rangers are reportedly keen on bringing him to Ibrox.
The 57-year-old has previously been in charge of Real Madrid, Sevilla and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The former Porto boss has also managed the Spain national football team.
Wolverhampton Wanderers chairman Jeff Shi described Lopetegui as “a top coach” and said that he is “elite”, as quoted on the Premier League club’s official website in November 2022.
Julen Lopetegui responds to Rangers interest
According to TEAMtalk, Rangers are keen on bringing Lopetegui to Ibrox as a replacement for Michael Beale.
The report has claimed that the former Scottish Premiership champions have made contact with the Spaniard.

And, he has responded to Rangers.
TEAMtalk has reported that Lopetegui has “rejected” the chance to manage Rangers, claimig that the former Real Madrid boss is “keen to stay in a top league”.
My View: Rangers being too ambitious with Julen Lopetegui
In my opinion, trying to hire Julen Lopetegui as their new manager is too ambitious for Rangers.
I do not think that Lopetegui would be tempted to move to Rangers at this stage of his career.
Now, of course, we all know that Rangers are a massive club and are playing in the UEFA Europa League this season.
And the Gers could still catch Celtic in the Scottish Premiership title race.
But, Lopetegui will probably feel that he could manage at a higher level.
After all, the Spaniard did well at Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League.
So, if a Premier League job comes up, then Lopetegui could well be considered.
But, I have to praise Rangers for trying to hire Lopetegui.
It shows that Rangers are very ambitious in what they want to do regarding a new manager.
